Doug Wells
Doug Wells CEO Since 2015

Mr. Wells leads all operational, investment, and capital market activities for Broe Real Estate Group and its affiliates. Mr. Wells also leads the Management Committee, which provides strategic direction for the company.

Wells was previously Chief Investment Officer of Shelter Canadian Properties Limited, a real estate investment management company. Before that, he spent 15 years with Lazard Real Estate Partners, most recently as Managing Principal with investment management responsibility for five real estate opportunity funds, which at its peak totaled more than $3 billion of committed partner capital invested in the hospitality, office, industrial, retail, senior living and structured finance sectors. As part of his role at Lazard, Wells also served as President of InTown Suites, Inc., an Atlanta-based extended-stay hotel company with 127 locations. He was previously with The Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York/ARES Realty Capital, and started his real estate career with Shelter Corporation of Canada Limited.

Mr. Wells received his B.A. from Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario, and his M.B.A. from the University of Denver.

Ron Corsentino
Ron Corsentino CFO Since 2013

Mr. Corsentino is responsible for all accounting, financial reporting, and administrative functions for the Broe Real Estate Group and its affiliates. In addition, Mr. Corsentino has primary responsibility for risk management, IT, human resources and is directly responsible for the sourcing and execution of all debt financing. Mr. Corsentino is a member of the Management Committee, providing strategic direction to the company.

Experience From 2009 to 2013, Mr. Corsentino was Senior Vice President and Controller at Miller Global Properties, a real estate investment company with over $2 billion of assets under management. From 2006 to 2009, he was Controller and Vice President of Accounting at SCI Real Estate Investments in Los Angeles, one of the nation’s largest tenant-in-common sponsors. He also served as Senior Vice President and Controller for WJ Bradley Company, an investment banking firm specializing in the residential mortgage industry, and was Controller for AMCi, a publicly held wireless technology firm. He began his career with KPMG in 1993.

Education Mr. Corsentino graduated in 1992 with a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Southern Colorado, and received a Master of Taxation from the University of Denver in 1993. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Peter Albro
Peter Albro Vice President, Asset Management Since 2016

Mr. Albro is responsible for the asset management of the Broe Real Estate Group commercial office and retail assets, including leading operational, leasing and capital strategies for these assets.  Mr. Albro is also a member of the Management Committee, providing strategic direction to the company.

Prior to joining Broe, Mr. Albro was Vice President of Acquisitions and Portfolio Management at Penwood Real Estate Investment Management, a private firm focused on value-add industrial investments.  Prior to Penwood, he was Vice President of Acquisitions at Cigna Realty Investors, where he was responsible for sourcing joint venture equity and fixed-rate debt investments.  Mr. Albro has direct experience in a variety of U.S. markets covering all major property types; total equity transactions exceed $1.3 billion in gross asset value and total debt investments exceed $350 million.  He also has held positions with Starwood Capital Group and Vail Resorts Management Company.

Mr. Albro received his B.A. in Economics from Middlebury College, and earned his M.B.A from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.

Walter Armer
Walter Armer Vice President, Development Since 2015

Mr. Armer is responsible for asset management for the Broe Real Estate multi-family portfolio, [including operational, leasing and capital strategies], as well as the oversight of the Country Club Towers II development project.  Mr. Armer is also a member of the Management Committee, providing strategic direction to the company.

Prior to joining Broe, Mr. Armer was Director of Development and Forward Planning at the CORE Companies, a private multi-family development firm based in San Jose, CA.  Mr. Armer has more than 25 years of multi-family asset management and development experience, including at Albion Pacific Property Resources, SNK Development and Trammell Crow.

Mr. Armer holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and an M.B.A. from the F. W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College.

Andy Poremba
Andy Poremba Vice President, Construction Since 2015

Mr. Poremba is responsible for construction of Broe Real Estate Group’s Country Club Towers II project, and will maintain an office there.

Prior to joining Broe, Mr. Poremba was Director of Construction for ServiceStar, where he spent 14 years in various positions. Mr. Poremba has more than 25 years of construction and development experience.

Mr. Poremba is a graduate of Colorado State University with a B.S. in Industrial Construction Management.

Jeffrey Sullivan
Jeffrey Sullivan Vice President, Acquisitions Since 2016

Mr. Sullivan leads Broe Real Estate Group’s San Francisco office and is responsible for the acquisition of a wide range of assets and operating companies throughout the Western United States.

Prior to joining Broe, Mr. Sullivan was an Investment Officer and Assistant Vice President of Investments for Equity Residential (NYSE: EQR), a publicly traded REIT focused on the acquisition, development, and management of high quality multifamily assets.  Most recently, Mr. Sullivan oversaw a $3.4B portfolio of multifamily and mixed-use assets consisting of over 7,400 units in the San Francisco Bay Area. Mr. Sullivan was previously a Director of Acquisitions and has acquired in excess of $2.6B of mixed-use and multifamily assets throughout New York, Washington DC, San Francisco Bay Area, and Boston. During his tenure at EQR Mr. Sullivan was also responsible for the underwriting and due diligence of $5.6B of EQR’s $9B acquisition of Archstone-Smith from Lehman Brothers. He has previously held positions with JPI Partners and Jones Lang LaSalle.

Mr. Sullivan received his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Babson College.

Bob Eck
Bob Eck President, Land Development Since 2014

Mr. Eck brings over thirty years of experience in the acquisition, planning, entitlement, and execution of residential and commercial land development projects, including active-adult and traditional master-planned communities. He oversees the Land Development business platform for Broe, providing vision and strategic leadership for its long-term growth.

Before joining the company, Mr. Eck was Principal of Land Asset Strategies, LLC, a company he formed in 2006 to provide development consulting and project management services to owners, developers and builders throughout Colorado. Mr. Eck has also held executive-level roles for industry-leading companies in community development and homebuilding, such as the Del Webb Corporation, Mobil Land Development Corporation, Pulte Homes and Taylor Morrison Homes.

Mr. Eck’s educational background includes a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
